We are pleased to have been awarded funding for a research study to evaluate the Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles for Diabetes (HEAL-D) programme. The study will be conducted in London, Birmingham and Manchester. starting in the summer of 2023.
HEAL-D has been designed in partnership with people from African & Caribbean communities who are living with type 2 diabetes. This culturally tailored programme will be tested against standard care that is currently available, to see whether a culturally tailored programme improves outcomes for people living with type 2 diabetes.
If you have type 2 diabetes and are of African or Caribbean heritage and would like to get involved in the research or find out more about it, please get in touch.
